Three Core Views


This View is used lastly to design interactive reports and visualizations.


Start with this view first where you Connect, shape and transform raw data.


After Data view, switch to Relationships view to design data model and tie those tables together with relationships.

Data View

Table Tools

Click on any given Table under Fields to access attributes related to the Table, modify Columns, Manage Relationships, add Columns  and much more.


Column Tools

Click on any given Column under the Table to access attributes related to the Column and much more. Similarly select Measure to view Measure tools menu.

Query Editing Tool

Home Tab

This section includes general settings and commonly used table transformation tools.

Transform Tab

This section includes tools to modify existing columns. When tool is selected from the Transform Tab, selected Column essentially gets modified or overwritten without any new Column created in the Table.

Add Colum Tab

This section is used to create Columns based on rules, operations, dates and much more. When a tool is selected from Add Column Tab, new column is created in the Table.

Efficient Approach

Faster Data Refresh

Deselect static data Table from report refresh for. e.g. Table that consists of values that do not change.

Structured Approach

01. Give the name to the Table in relation to the unique value it holds for lookup.

02. Check Column Header Data type.
